Short Story

The system does not care if Black people, inmate or staff, are exposed and die of the coronavirus!

Rikers Island is facing a huge crisis fighting the COVID19 pandemic.

More than 700 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

Inmates are calling out for help in fear they will get sick!

The state government plans on releasing 500 inmates  from Rikers to stop the spread on the island… but where are they being released? Onto the subways, busses, and homes of Brooklyn, The Bronx, Harlem, Queens… in our communities!

We are sending out care packages to inmates at Riker’s Island to provide relief to the inmates suffering and to prevent it spreading throughout the prison and the community.

Each Relief Package Will Include:

    • Facial Masks (Re-usable)
    • Soap (to wash masks & hands)
    • Tylenol
    • Gallons of Water
    • Herbal Tea Mix
    • Fresh Fruit & Vegetables
    • Vitamin C
    • Canned Soup

With these Relief Packages inmates will have access to keep their hands clean and face covered. They’ll have water and soup to keep them hydrated. They’ll be able to consume natural fruits and veggies that fight infection, and Tylenol to ease the body aches they may suffer.

Campaign Story

The system does not care if Black people, inmate or staff, are exposed and die of the coronavirus!

Rikers Island is facing a huge crisis fighting the COVID19 pandemic.

More than 700 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus. Six Correctional Officers have died from the COVID19 Virus.

Officers have reported, that the Department of Corrections told Officers with COVID19 statuses to return back to work despite their sickness.

The first inmate, Michael Tyson, died from the coronavirus on Sunday (04/10/2020).

This Coronavirus pandemic resembles death and slavery, there have been reports that inmates are forced to dig mass graves for $6/hr.

Inmates are pissed off and are spitting in CO’s faces.

Inmates are calling out for help in fear they will get sick!

The state government plans on releasing 500 inmates  from Rikers to stop the spread on the island… but where are they being released? Into Brooklyn, The Bronx, Harlem, Queens… our communities!

If we don’t do something, they may die, and worse it may spread like wildfire throughout the city!

Our Brothers & sisters at Rikers Island deserve the right to live!
